Manage At Home attended the Naidex Conference at the NEC Birmingham on the 20th and 21st of March. Thanks to the location of the stand being next to the main stage when the scheduled talks were taking place, Manage At Home‘s stand benefited from the foot traffic, despite claiming that they wouldn’t have needed the boost, as the stand remained extremely busy throughout the event regardless.
Alex Roberts, Stacy Mitchell and Andy Phillips supported on Wednesday, and Steve Taylor, Alex Roberts and Andy Phillips covered the stand on Thursday. Andy Phillips, head of BD for Medequip, was a surprise involvement but was seen as a welcome addition to the team, as his prior experience at conferences and his product knowledge shone through, impressing those who spoke to him.
Hundreds of Manage At Home‘s Independent Living Catalogues were given out as part of bespoke promotional packs. The promotional packs became so popular that they reached a point where they started to run out of supplies for the packs.
The stall had numerous products from the website available for conference attendees to peruse; particular highlights were The Nimble, which caught the crowd’s attention repeatedly, and the Uccello Kettle and the Ornamin Range, which were well received. The Relish Day Hub – Dementia Reminder Clock and the Echo MiniTechT Personal Listener became major talking points as more advanced products like these naturally sparked conversation. The Tenura Range and the Invisible Creations Dual Purpose Grab Rails were also highlighted on the stand throughout the event and received well by the public.
E-commerce manager Steve Taylor said:
It’s the first time we’ve done this event, and it certainly won’t be the last. It exceeded our expectations, and we’ll return next year with a much bigger stand and more resources!
